5.2 MINING - Safety and performance

Some 30 years ago, C. Grossmann began in conjunction with the leading mining companies to update the quality standard to what was technically possible –thanks to our MRP converter. For the specific application, namely highest degree of toughness coupled with outstanding welding properties, we developed the materials GRADE II, GRADE III and GRADE IV, which are today found in the DIN standard under 18 CrNiMo 3 6 and 22 CrNiMo 5 6. Even back then, C. Grossmann was already setting standards for the foundry industry.

We continue to cater to the requirements of our customers with regard to cast steel parts for support components such as prop pots, prop bearings, joints, conveyor stops, for drives such as crawler wheels, half-shells and planes such as guides, flaps, chisels, etc.
