5.1 STRIP MINING - Unlimited loading capacity

Mining materials from quarries plays a crucial role for the entire industry. Be this ores, coal, diamonds, oil sand or stone, for quarrying, large hydraulic excavators are manufactured by four major companies from a weight of 100 t. The largest of its kind can weigh up to around 1,000 t. To ensure worldwide deployment, the requirements on the cast steel parts are highly complex.

The material 32 NiCrMo 64 developed by C. Grossmann (refined according to the in-house standard in the ConverterMRP converter) combines high wear resistance with the utmost toughness, such that the extreme loads encountered when mining mineral resources can also be guaranteed in low temperature regions by our customers to the operator companies. C. Grossmann supplies chain links, drive and guiding wheels for the running gear as well as various bearings for the boom, the arm and the shovel. Since our customers also benefit from the performance of the excavators, they attach particular importance to their reliability. We deliver!
